To rent a car you need a driver’s license and identity card (or passport).
Is it necessary to provide a passport and an international driver’s license?
No, if your driver’s license and ID contain a translation in Latin letters. In the absence of current, you either need to show international documentation, or provide a translation with a notary seal.
How many people can drive a rented car?
Only you, if other persons are not specified in the contract. The number of drivers is not limited if they are suitable for a rental requirement. The cost of an additional driver is 10USD per day (MAX 70USD per person).
What requirements should I feet in?
You must be at least 23 years old (maximum 70) with 3 years of driving experience. You must present valid documents (ID and driving license) for the period of your rental.
How do I book a car?
Using our web resource, by contacting us by e-mail, by calling or visiting our office directly.
How can I make changes in my reservation?
Changes are made through the reservation department and to make changes in your reservation you are required to department directly through the e-mail.
What is an advance payment for the reservation?
The company does not impose an advance payment for confirmation of the reservation.
How can I cancel a reservation?
You will need to contact the reservation department by phone, using an e-mail or online cancelation link.
What is the cancellation fee?
No cancellation fee required, if you inform the reservation department 24 hours before your rental starts or use cancellation link.
What are the methods of payment?
You can pay your rent in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer.
When do I have to pay for my rental?
For cash or credit card, payment should be made at the place of the rental. With the bank transfer payment should be made in advance. In this case, your rental and deposit must be presented on the account of the company before your lease begins.
Is the deposit obligatory?
The provision of a deposit is mandatory. It is an integral part of the lease.
In what currency is the rental paid?
All payments are made in Lari (GEL) according to the exchange rate of the national bank of Georgia at the time of payment.
In what currency is the deposit paid?
Payment and refund of the deposit is also made in Georgian Lari (GEL).
What are the terms of deposit refund?
If you will pay a deposit in cash, it will be refunded after you returned rented vehicle. When you freeze funds on your credit card, the return period varies between 30-45 days, depending on the bank.
Can I pay for a rental by credit card and leave a deposit in cash?
No, deposit should be payed by credit card.
What are the hourly rental rates?
Hourly rent is not provided by the company and every incomplete day is calculated as a full one.
If I’m late with the return of the car, will I have to pay the full cost of the daily rental?
Company provides a tolerance of 1-hour delay. If you are late for 3 hours, the additional fee will be half the cost of a full (24-hour) lease. In case of a delay for more than 3 hours, additional cost will be a full daily rental price.
What if I’m late to pick up a car?
If the car is issued at the local office in working time, an additional fee will not be charged. Otherwise, the cost will be calculated based on the terms of the contract.
What if I return the car with an incomplete tank or dirty?
For the shortage of fuel, you will have to pay at the rate specified in the contract. For the return of the car dirty, the fine amount will be 20GEL.
How often can I find gas stations in Georgia?
Gas stations are available throughout Georgia and are very often found even in high mountain regions.
Can I pick up a car in a different location rather than the office?
Yes, you can, available rental sites can be found on our webpage. If you want to get a car in a different location price will be calculated according to the contract.
What is the cost of delivery of the car to the airport?
The cost of a one-time delivery of the rented vehicle to the airport is 25USD. Price is applicable to the locations were company’s office s presented. Otherwise, price will be calculated according to your location.
What if my flight is delays?
Despite the delay, we will still deliver your car on time, because we request the details of the flight in advance when delivering a car to the airport.
How can I recognize your representative at the airport?
Our representative will be equipped with a sign with your name on it.
What if the car spoils?
If the cause of the spoil is a malfunction of the vehicle itself, it will be repaired immediately or replaced and will be delivered new vehicle to your location. If the car breaks down due to your fault, we will also replace the car, but the financial responsibility will be calculated based on the terms of the contract.
How long does it take to replace a car?
Replacement will be done as quickly as possible depending on your location. A new car will come out to you immediately, but the calculation of time depends entirely on your location. Terms are also indicated in a contract.
What if I get into an accident?
You need to call the police, insurance company and contact our office. Your financial responsibility will be determined by the terms of the contract.
Note: do not move car from the place of the accident or the insurance will not apply to the case.
What if I lose keys to the car?
The cost of the key is not included in the insurance and accordingly compensation of the price is your responsibility.
What if I puncture the tires?
Tires are not covered by insurance conditions and their replacement (or payment of cost) is your responsibility.
Is insurance included?
The company included 85% insurance as a standard rental condition and is always included in the contract.
Can I purchase 100% insurance?
100% insurance (“Super Cover”) is an additional service and is not rolled into a standard lease. The cost of the service is 17USD per day.
What are the mileage restrictions?
Rent A Car Georgia was the first company which began to lease cars without limits in the mileage. Therefore, none of the vehicles are limited in mileage.
Can I cross the border of another state on a rented car?
Yes, but you can only cross Armenia border with the condition of return to Georgia on the rented vehicle. You cannot leave the car on the territory of Armenia for reasons of local legislations. The cost of permission to cross the border is 80USD.
What are the parking conditions?
You have a free parking in general parking spaces in Tbilisi as a term of the standard insurance. The rules and pricing of parking in other cities of Georgia remain unchanged.

What is the standard equipment of the car?
Depending on the season, cars are equipped with appropriate tires, all cars have air conditioning, heater, cigarette lighter, radio, etc.
